About Elastic
Elastic Energy builds the Energy Router, a site controller that makes homes and sites flexible, so their capacity can serve the grid where programs exist. We also build the energy flexibility platform behind it.
Installers use Elastic to deploy faster and own the post-install customer relationship. Utilities and aggregators can work with Elastic to reach supported equipment across sites with mixed equipment. Site owners get a system they can trust that gets better over time.
The company is headquartered in Victoria, BC, Canada, with active deployments across Canada and the United States.
Homes and small sites hold flexible capacity that is hard for the grid to call on as one resource, because it is spread across many brands and platforms. Some device makers run programs for their own hardware, and software reaches devices through each manufacturer's cloud. A program that wants to call on many sites has to work across all of those brands and platforms.
We built the Energy Router to close that gap. One device that speaks the protocols supported equipment already uses and keeps operating on site when the connection drops. Where a grid program exists and its terms allow it, a site with supported equipment can take part.
Make homes and businesses flexible, one site at a time.
Millions of solar panels, batteries, EVs and smart appliances already sit behind the meter. We connect supported equipment and coordinate it on site, so that capacity can serve the grid where programs exist.

We work on grid infrastructure. The problems are genuinely difficult and the stakes are real. We want people who find that motivating.
Victoria, BC is our home base. We work remote-first and prefer the West Coast time zone. Proximity still matters for hardware and field work.
Final-stage candidates are invited to a 2 to 4 week paid trial with defined scope and clear decision criteria. No surprises.
We present our work at the industry events that shape the future of distributed energy.
